Likewise, it remains a journal that publishes fledgling writers and artists alongside prominent writers such as Nikki Giovanni, Virginia Poet Laureate, Ron Smith, Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda, U.S. Poet Laureate, Natasha Trethewey, as well as prominent artists such as Betty Branch, Steven Kenny, and Linda Atkinson. Artemis is a charitable non-profit organization, now 45 years old, and has evolved into an all-inclusive journal with essays, poetry, and art.
