Most people know that the famous fairy tales of the world have changed since they were first created hundreds of years ago. The plots, the settings, even the characters-there have been many changes to these stories as they were passed from generation to generation and from country to country.


What most people don't know, however, is that one of the biggest changes to many of our famous fairy tales is the fact that the original characters populating these stories were often bearded dragons. Exactly why they were gradually replaced over the centuries, with other animal and human characters, is the subject of intense academic debate. But for this book, we have dug deeply into the folklore of the distant past to bring you the original, largely forgotten versions of 10 famous fairy tales, all of them featuring one or more bearded dragon characters.
