The master research Becoming a Composer, 5 "states" of a creative process aims to describe a process of creation. Taking as an axis the composition of a musical work, the work has the intention of looking for that process that all works possess where the act of creating is involved. We are talking about a process of its own, a path that goes along with the work. The action of composing the work, called "circular tension", shows that path. The work formalizes this process and codifies it in 5 verbs/states: to start, to search, to find, to find, to transform and to materialize. The essay focuses on breaking down, deepening and normalizing these states for any other action of creating.Being the composer and the creator one and the same thing, there is a kind of splitting. The one who interacts and absorbs from the outside, and the one who is below and looks inside, the one who is alone. There is a creative consciousness without references. A drive that mobilizes this doing. A truth that overflows, that makes itself present.
