Becoming... : Poetic Reflections Looking Back At It All is an insightful collection of original poetic expressions that evolved over years of personal journal jottings. The 290 topics reflect a wide variety of life experiences and recognize that 'becoming' is an ever-changing growth process involving aspirations, challenges, choices, insights and opportunities.

The collection of poetic expressions is to be read and enjoyed. It can also be used to stimulate introspection, encourage extended writing and drawing and prompt meaningful discussion. This process can be helpful to assist individuals and groups to focus on feelings, put them in perspective and deal with them productively.

The poetic expressions and illustrations are alphabetically organized by topic. Each extended piece has a concept definition and thought-provoking discussion themes. To enhance the essence of selected topics, there are 80 creative illustrations.

About the Author:

Dr. I. Joseph Care is an experienced educator and writer who has been involved in education, counseling, and guidance activities for decades. Journal jottings over the years have produced an impressive volume of expanded thoughts on feelings, concerns and life changing issues. He has also authored children's story books with relevant themes including bullying, peer pressure, and self-image building.

With a B.A. degree in Psychology and Education and a Master and Doctorate in Education, he has been in the forefront of dealing with concerns of many. Special interests include Adult Literacy, Continuing Education, Codependency, and the Recovery process.

Becoming... is a culmination of years of thought exploration and reflection on issues that confront us and to help put feelings and concerns into perspective. The results are part of a personal journey that hopefully will be helpful and supportive of others.
