Design of a Automated Mechanism

Today, an automobile is one of the most important needs of the society. In an automobile plant, almost 650 to 800 cars are produced per day. A battery, used to power the starter motor, the lights, and the ignition system of an engine, is an important component of the car. Generally, a lot size of production is more than 2,50,000 batteries per year and modern car batteries contain many plastics components that have to be assembled during the production process.The first challenge in the automatic assembly is the orientation and positioning of the components that arrive at the assembly area in unsorted bins. Thus, an automated mechanism that is able to execute these tasks of orientation and positioning of plastic parts is therefore necessary, which can increase the productivity and reduce the costs. Its final output from the system is normally a single line of single-orientation components ready to transport to the assembly area via feed tracks.
