The work describes the geological structure and composition of the Early Jurassic sedimentary-volcanogenic rocks of the Verkhoyano-Kolymsk folded system (Yakutia) and analyzes their petrochemical and geochemical compositions. On the basis of new data, a facies analysis of the strata of the unique Abonian sedimentary-volcanogenic series was performed and presented, which established that the deposits of the series were formed as a result of Strombolian-type eruptions and synchronous underwater fracture effusions in the shallow-water-marine marginal basin. It is shown that the manifestation of Early Jurassic volcanism was caused by the tectonic regime of continental riftogenesis. The monograph is of interest to a wide range of researchers dealing with the issues of paleovolcanology, geodynamics, as well as to students of geology departments of universities.
