Maize (Zea mays L.) is one of the most versatile crops grown throughout the tropical as well as temperate regions of the world and has multiple uses. The Productivity of maize is largely dependent on its nutrient management. It is well known that maize is a heavy feeder of nutrients due to its C4 nature and very efficient in converting solar energy into production of dry matter under the present trend of exploitative agriculture.
