This is needed to help the new believer understand all that God in Jesus Christ has already done on our behalf. Next the believer takes this knowledge and begins to walk in a way pleasing to God. Finally, the end result is standing as a fully equipped soldier, using all of God's armor.
But every believer has to come back and sit to learn more. A better, more productive walk is resumed. Finally, the believer is able to stand better equipped to battle with the enemy.
