In October 2012, Chinese researchers have discovered well-preserved fossils in China. Basically, the fossils were found and analysed in Guizhou Province in south-west China. The scientific researchers have advanced that the new flying fish fossils provide the earliest evidence of vertebrate over-water gliding strategy. In addition to this, the fossils represent new evidence which the marine ecosystems have re-established more quickly than previously thought. In-depth research have shown that the fossils dated 235-242 years old used to exist in the Middle Triassic of China. Indeed, historians have mentioned that the Triassic period has seen the re-establishment of ecosystems after the Permian mass extinction.
