The generic term ‘harmage’ designates the process of causing physical or psychological harm, damage, or suffering to individuals or groups. Using anecdotal personal narratives and observations, this book proposes a general theory of harmage common to all its manifestations and presents educational strategies for building hope through fostering empathy and inclusion. The Authors

Agnes Kaposi is a Hungarian-British Holocaust survivor, engineer, and author. She has written extensively about her experiences during the Holocaust.

Anja Ballis is a German professor specializing in Holocaust education and didactics of literature at LMU Munich.

Ian Pyle is a British computer scientist and specialist in the avoidance of harm caused by computer-based systems, who became interested in harm caused by human behaviour.
