The Infiniti G is a mid-size entry-level luxury car and coupe produced by Nissan's luxury brand Infiniti. The first two generations of the Infiniti G (P10 and P11) were based on the Nissan Primera and were originally compact executive cars; however, beginning with its third generation (V35), the Infiniti G has been based on the sportier Nissan Skyline line of sedans, coupes and 2-door convertibles. The Nissan FM platform, on top of which the 3rd and 4th generations (V35 and V36) of the Infiniti G have been built, has shared components with the Infiniti M and also underpins the 350Z and the Infiniti FX models.
