The British government have announced that the drug mephedrone is now a banned drug since it is making too many victims. Official statistics have shown that 40 persons have died due to an excessive intake of mephedrone and 320 persons died again in 2011 for the same reason. Again, the drug mephedrone is causing deaths in 2012 since the side effects of the latter have not been identified yet. Alarmingly, the victims were between the age of 25 to 44. Indeed, the majority of deaths across the UK were among men aged between 25 and 44-years old - 72%. Moreover, above 64% cases have been discovered to occur after an accidental overdose.
