To be filled with the Spirit, to speak in tongues, to channel, to experience a rapture, vision or epiphany of some kind. These are all possessions, when we are temporarily displaced and Spirit moves in.
In Vodou this can be quite dramatic but is in no way demonic.
To experience up close and personal a Light Being taking you by the hand and talking to you about how you are and what maybe a good thing for you to do is absolutely mind blowing.
