Melissa Joane Chatel was born in 1988 in Port-au-Prince. At age eighteen, she immigrated to Canada and joined her two younger sisters. Finding new hope, she wrote her first fantasy book: The Legend of the Sisters' Souls, followed by My Precious, the story of her life combined with a fictive and futuristic story.
