Despite the numerous fossil materials - the remains of Nyasasaurus, which have been collected and studied by experts, it is still unknown whether these creatures used to be dinosaurs or not. The fossilised bones were collected during a Cambridge University expedition to Tanzania in the 1930s and gradually examined over the decades by Natural History Museum palaeontologist Alan Charig. The researchers have advanced that the Nyasasaurus possessed an upper arm bone which they called humerus and part of the backbone, which appeared to have some dinosaur-like characteristics. In addition to this, the Nyasasaurus was more or less of the size of a Labrador. Hence, scientists have mentioned that the Nyasasaurus could be an early kind of dinosaur.
