The story also helps shine a glimmer of hope to show children that their creativity can be used to find solutions to the most daunting of problems, as long as they have the patience to work towards solutions instead of reacting thoughtlessly to the symptoms of these problems.
They also need to remember that problems are more easily resolved with the unity of the people involved. They need to be taught that to make friends of foes is the road to peace and better days ahead.
