Offending his sponsors, rejecting the fiancée chosen for him at birth and moving with an increasingly dubious crowd, it takes tragedy and illness to bring Soji to his senses and finally accept his past, which enables him to embrace his future...
Gbenga Odubiyi was born in Abeokuta, Nigeria, in 1976. He studied at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, from 1994 to 1999. He is also a playwright and a poet. His poem was published in 2001 in an anthology commemorating the new millennium, Passport to a New World. He presently works at Standard Trust Bank in Lagos.
