The material in this book is the culmination of 5000 hours of scientific illustrations. Each illustration is of an individual fish and is extremely accurate. They are made in the technique of pointillism, a known fine-art technique. Each picture is made by small dots, which, when viewed for a distance, creates a very detailed rendition of shape and form.
