Whenever possible, surgery for liver metastases is recommended. This excision must be as complete as possible, at an acceptable operative risk. It must be supported by other complementary techniques:Preoperative embolization, radiofrequency. Two-stage hepatectomies can treat all metastases.Hormone therapy with somatostatin analogues is of great importance for symptom control; particular caution must be exercised both before and during surgery. A multidisciplinary approach is essential to provide personalized therapy for patients with NNE. Clinical research and specialization in this field should be further encouraged.
