Where else do you get a chance to lead men in an organization whose main objective is to keep the sea lanes open even if that means a battle at sea? In such an environment you would think that everything would be seriously dull and a sense of humor would not be welcomed. Well, I am happy to say that aboard the USS Biddle (CG-34) there certainly was hard work and dedication, but there were also humorous experiences you could not have anywhere else.
