He discovers that for ages youngsters like him have been brought here, to The Realms, without knowing why and without a way home. The people have explored and settled across The Realms, carving out their own little pockets of civilization.
But Daniel burns with the question of why. After Daniel is befriended by Eleanor, the shy, but exceptional daughter of the local town's bug catcher, he sets off to unlock the mysteries of The Realms.
And when the path to the truth leads them into the very real danger of the unknown, Daniel and Eleanor will have to decide just how far they are willing to go in the engaging adventure of The Other Side of the Gate.
