Suspicion falls on members of the local Morris dancing group, 'The Raggy Men' of which King was a member. As an outsider and a womaniser, King is disliked by many villagers but has this grown into murderous hatred? The pub was named after local legends of The Green Man but there is nothing supernatural about further murders which occur in the sleepy Shropshire village. A feared London mobster arrives in the village and Tom King's dark past is revealed giving further motive for murder. As the number of suspects grows, Pitt and Khunkhun search for answers.
