Zygomaticomatic maxillary Complex plays a major role in structure, function and facial aesthetics. It provides normal cheek contour and separates the orbital contents from the temporal fossa and the maxillary sinus. Fractures of this complex results from direct blow to the malar or the cheek region during assault or road traffic accidents. They are also called as 'Tetrapod' fractures which is the second most common fracture in facial skeleton after nasal bone fractures and account for approximately 40% of midface fractures.
