O knihe

“Drawing on theories of mobility justice and climate justice, Giacomelli and Musarò show us how to arrive at a comprehensive cosmovision of justice that includes not only the interconnectedness of all beings, across every scale, and our responsibility toward future generations. They unveil other pluriversal knowledges and ways forward, inspired by Indigenous and decolonial thought, by activist artists and by the everyday diverse acts of creative social participation through which people build bridges, open doors, and create solidarity commons.”
- Mimi Sheller, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA

This book explores how the intertwined challenges of climate change and human (im)mobilities are being narrated, governed, and resisted. From media and policies to art and activism, the book investigates the stories we tell—and the ones we silence—about who moves, who stays, and who tries to govern human mobilities. What emerges is a powerful critique of crisis narratives that legitimize fear, repression, and exclusion, and a call for new imaginaries grounded in justice, care, and planetary belonging. Engaging with voices from the Global South, Indigenous epistemologies, and feminist and decolonial thought, this book offers a bold rethinking of how to confront one of the defining issues of our time. It is essential reading for anyone interested in the future of climate politics, migration, and global solidarity.
