O knihe

The complexity and diversity of the African environment provides unique market opportunities for multinational organisations (MNOs) that are increasingly establishing in the Sub-Saharan region. The transfer of knowledge and employees has been evolving, but the adaptation to the multifaceted environment has not been evident. The employees face cross-cultural issues and lack adequate support from their management whose function significantly ignores the host environment. A survey conducted with MNOs operating in the Sub-Saharan Africa revealed that the cross-cultural strategies adopted by these organisations were not inclusive to the variation of work environment. Many employees were significantly victims of communication, misunderstanding, misinterpretation, interpersonal relationship, and knowledge issues. The study recommended on emphasising on a feministic managerial approach, creating involvement, and creating a cross-cultural management function. There was need to enhance the cross-cultural strategies with pro-active managers, so that the employees would achieve efficiency of the organisational goals and objectives.
