Ever since 1960s, despite sustained growth in volumes of literature on Firm Export Performance, not much has been empirically done on this subject drawing experiences from the developing economies, especially Africa. That made generalization and research conclusions rather ineffective. No wonder, international trade volumes have continued to dwindle across the globe. This has been a big gap that can not be left unattended if inclusive economic development is to be achieved.
