The land no longer yielded any fruit, the direct cause of which was the massive felling of trees by the inhabitants, which in turn led to the drying up of the rivers and the Fanchons and laurel springs. Famine set in, disease spread and poverty ravaged the region.A rather interesting work, which I had the opportunity to see on one of the capital's TV stations, and which I also bought from one of the local booksellers. After reading it, I decided to use it as a basis for my analysis.
