This book is the result of the ionospheric research activities at Dibrugarh University under the supervision of Prof. P K Bhuyan, a renowned scientist in the area of ionospheric science. The articles mainly focus on the ionospheric features and its effect on radio communications.The present edition of the book contains five chapters by different authors from the ionospheric research field. The first chapter deals with the electron temperature and electron density of ionosphere. The second chapter explains the basic phenomenon of geomagnetic activity during disturbed ionosphere. The effect of geomagnetic activity on ionospheric ion density is presented by third chapter. The brief explanation of occurrence characteristics and causative mechanisms of ionospheric irregularities is discussed in the fourth chapter. The last chapter of this book discusses the Ionospheric irregularities assessment on GNSS and SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) Signals.
