Selected Body Idioms in English is a collection of idioms, phrasal verbs and proverbs that includes different parts of body. The book covers common expressions and topics that one would generally expect to find in the average home, family, workplace or community in most English speaking contexts. They can be found either in spoken English or in written English. The development of the current volume was filled with pleasure and enjoyment altogether. Although the process of compiling and editing text was enormously laborious and time-consuming, it could also be intensely satisfying and rewarding. This would be particularly true when words were found to express new concepts, when chapters began to shape, when sections fell into place and when a coherent picture started to emerge. It is hoped that the book will make a useful contribution to the associated fields of classroom language teaching and classroom-based studies on idiomatic language. It is also hoped that the present book contribute to further practice, discussion and debate and increase students' understanding of figurative language and idiomatic expressions.
